They are worried synths will become the new FEV and will be used to harm civilians and create monstrosities. Their issue is that they are worried about people falling into their old ways and creating new technology and using it to abuse others. I think their beliefs on synths kind of get misconstrued because of the way Maxson talks about it. But just because I like something doesn't mean I ignore it's flaws. I like Fallout games a lot, combine them and the elder scrolls games all together and Bethesda probably has my most game time as a whole.

Unless Rivet City was the only reactor available the BOS after losses from the Enclave battles and Outcasts that left it would be the height of stupidity to try and take it. The surrounding settlements would start coalescing towards Rivet city and cleaning up/populating the surrounding buildings.īy the time the BOS was in need of a Reactor there is no way they'd be getting Rivet city's without a heavy loss battle. The Capital wasteland already would have had most of the Super Mutants chased off. It's population would explode exponentially while the BOS is building their Murder Blimp at a ruined Airforce Base. They had a guy write a mission about a kid being trapped in a fridge for hundreds of years and somehow not go insane or be found.įor the BOS to attack Rivet city they would either destroy the city in the attack wasting the reactor or they would sustain heavy losses due to it being a fortified well guarded location.Īlso as stated it is the closest civilization center to the Jefferson Memorial which has the cleanest water.
